The representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hua Chunying, said that America should first apologize for Yugoslavia before it starts judging the moral principles of a country.
"On March 24, 1999, NATO carried out an attack on the former Yugoslavia, dropping 2.300 missiles, 14.000 bombs, including cluster munitions and those with depleted uranium. "The United States and NATO are not in a position to judge the moral principles of any country until they apologize and compensate for the damage and suffering they have brought to the peoples of Yugoslavia, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan," the spokeswoman said.
The bombing of Yugoslavia by NATO forces began on March 24, 1999, and on May 7, NATO bombed the Chinese embassy in Belgrade. On that occasion, three people were killed and more than 20 were injured.
